Day 10: a lazy day

Woke up at 10:30, and just lazied around. Bought some new jazz shoes and then went to jazz at Marshall's.  Like a said, a lazy day! haha!

Practice log:

Technical concepts: Worked a lot on placement today. I realize that I need to relax into my placement and not force it. Used an old warm up CD from my lessons with Kathy.

Minutes: 15

Repertoire: Retouched "Barrett's Song" from Titanic. Also worked on Hollywood, "Taking the Wheel" from It's Only Life, and "Stay" from DO I hear A Waltz

Minutes: 30 I had a lot of time today!

Success: I found to find the placement that I used to have many months ago! I haven't studied in a while, so I have lost sight of it, but I have started to find it. It took a lot of singing, warming up and resting. All the songs started to sound more like me and all felt comfortable!

Areas of improvement: I need to net let myself over sing! Also, my higher notes are not what they used to be. I just need to continue to warm up healthy and higher. A good day of rehearsal today!

Healthy Meal!

Meal Description: Th e Leonard and Gilbert Vegetarian Stew! Vegetable Broth, tomato sauce, roasted potatoes, eggplant and garlic, thyme, basil, rosemary, and plenty of fresh veggies!

Market: Home made! Whoo!

Rating: 10. It's so delicious and very healthy! We'll have you over for dinner so you can try it sometime!

And lastly Dance Class!

Date/Time: Today at 5:30

Type of Class: Jazz III

Difficulty Level: 7 Not impossible. Need to brush up and a little fast paced.

Studio and Instructor: Marshall's Performing Arts Conservatory. Instructor: Nicole

What I most enjoyed: Taking dance again! Stretching and moving my body!

What Did I find Challenging: I am not as up to date on the technicality of dance. I can learn moves, but I am not as flexible as other dancers.

Observations: Class was a little too big for my taste, May switch to Jazz II to get more hands on training and get more technicality. Als, it was awesome to take class with Leonard, Amanda and Jonathan!
