Day 3: More NYC!

Day 2 in this beautiful city! Saw a good friend I met at CLOC and get this, saw Fernando Laranaga 3 times randomly in the last 2 days! We saw Next To Normal tonight...BRILLIANT! I'll fill out an extra performance review just for fun cause it was so good! Anyhow, here's my practice stuff and healthy meal (pic in following blog).

Daily practice session:

Technical Concepts: bringing my falsetto down to expand my range. This means starting warm ups high in my falsetto and working down.

Minutes: 15

Repertoire: started learning me new song: I Want To Go To Hollywood from Grand Hotel . Yes, it is a girl song, but I recently heard it and decided it could fit nicely into a cabaret!

Minutes: 20

Success: this song is really good in my range and I will not have to change the key. It's fun, and my mind us already churning with lyric changes to make the song make more sense in a boys case who wants to go to Hollywood!

Areas of improvement: I need to get working on lyric changes and memorizing. Also need to look at acting choices; can't make my acting feminine just because the song is originally sung by a girl.

Notes: learn how to sing safely like a Broadway singer.

Healthy eating #2

Meal Description: a wheat pita bread with fresh mozzarella and basil and tomato basil soup!

Restaurant: Pad Wholesome Foods on 49th and 7th.

Rating: 10! Great sandwich, great soup and healthy! A nice light meal!

Well that's all. Looking forward to In The Height tomorrow!

Night all!
